Upgrade legacy systems cost-effectively
The M-Plus series replaces legacy external mass-storage devices with a robust and reliable interface to modern data networks.  By emulating failure-prone mechanical tape drives, streamers, DAT drives, and magneto-optical drives with purely electronic equipment, data mobility and availability is increased while improving its resistance to outside sources of damage.

Employ industry standard RAID schemes
Instead of storing information on physical media, M-Plus devices forward the information to a supervising computer running dedicated software.  The supervising computer can then employ industry standard RAID schemes for data redundancy and backup.  No physical media needs to be unloaded from a machine and taken to a processing/archive facility.

Upgradeable firmware for increased flexibility

M-Plus devices retain all functions of the emulated device to ensure the full functionality of the original system without any reconfiguration.  Any SCSI mass-storage device can be emulated.  M-Plus emulators utilize upgradeable universal hardware, making certain that any system that uses a SCSI interface, but has not yet been emulated, may be integrated.
