ENTE e!MAX BSM is a multi-sector WiMAX base station.

ENTE e!MAX BSM base stations are customizable to specific network needs. ENTE e!MAX BSM is a scalable, multi-sector, modular device with the possibility of expansion, and ENTE e!MAX BSS is a single-sector base station for systems optimized for cost savings.

Each base station unit utilizes network, radio, and power supply modules that are all hot swappable. Module redundancy ensures ENTE e!MAX BSM maintains high reliability and availability.

ENTE e!MAX BSM is housed in a 6U case designed for installation in a standard 19-inch rack.

ENTE base stations support leading antenna technologies including active antennas and adaptive systems.

The system consists of the following parts:

• ENTE e!MAX BSM CABINET: standard 19” rack cabinet, 8U,
• ENTE e!MAX BSM PWR: Power supply adapter card, up to 4 power supply adapters per system,
• ENTE e!MAX BSM CPU: Network processor card, up to 2 cards per system (for processor redundancy),
• ENTE e!MAX BSM PWR_SYS: System power supply card, up to 2 cards per system (for redundancy),
• ENTE e!MAX BSM RF: Radio Access Card

To increase redundancy, the most critical elements of the system, such as the network processor card and the system power supply card, can be installed in multiples. The system is also scalable with many possible configurations of the base station:

• Two-sector base station,
• Four-sector base station equipped with four 90-degree antennas,
• Six-sector base station equipped with six 60-degree antennas.
